Scans on Geelong midfielder Gary Ablett have confirmed a right hamstring strain. Ablett suffered the injury in the closing stages of the Cats clash with West Coast in Perth last Sunday.
“The scans are as expected and I will be out for a few weeks with a hamstring strain,” Ablett said.
“I will do everything I can to rehab the injury and get back out there. Obviously it is disappointing to miss playing the next few games with the team, but it is a long season and we are all positive that this will be a minor setback.”
The club has not set an expected return date, taking the view that each player can heal at a different rate.
