GEORGE Horlin-Smith, Sam Blease and Nakia Cockatoo are all pushing their case to line up in the Cats’ VFL game against North Ballarat at Simonds Stadium on Saturday, despite battling minor injury problems.
Horlin-Smith suffered a hyper-extended knee in the big VFL loss to Essendon at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, while Blease (jarred ankle) and Cockatoo (corked hamstring) sat out the game.
All three will be tested later in the week, but the outlook for them is bright, particularly in the case of Cockatoo.
"He had significant bruising and we had to hold him back," Cats physio Mark Young said on the round 11 episode of nib Medical Room.
"But he’s been running freely on the track now and we’ll test him later this week."
