Premiership guernsey unveiled
The club has launched its first ever guernsey to represent past and present premiership players
Wednesday the Cats Shop unveiled its first ever Geelong Cats Commemorative Premiership Guernsey to celebrate the club’s past and present premiership players.
Manufactured under license by ISC, the special guernsey acknowledges all the club’s stars by listing those who contributed in one, two or three premiership sides from the premiership years of 1925 to 2011.
This inaugural guernsey holds the names of great Geelong legends such as Doug Wade, Bob Davis, Fred Flanagan, Reg Hickey, Graham “Polly” Farmer, Cameron Ling, Paul Chapman, Jimmy Bartel, Joel Selwood and Corey Enright.
The guernsey has a gold, silver and bronze coloured hoop which represents the number of premierships each player has participated in.
Gold signifies those who have played in three premierships, silver represents two and bronze represents one.
The Geelong Cats will wear the new guernsey for their last game of the home and away season against the Brisbane Lions at Simonds Stadium.
Geelong Cats Commemorative Premiership Guernsey now available at the Cats Shop at a special members’ price of $199 and $239 for non-members.
