Despite making four of the last seven AFL grand finals, none of the 17 other club captains think the Cats can do it again in 2014.

In a poll of the 18 club captains undertaken by the AFL, none of the 17 other teams' captain picked Geelong to make the grand final. 10 captains nominated Hawthorn, five picked the Sydney Swans and three Fremantle.

In further study of the survey, one opposition club captain said the Cats would not make the finals in 2014. The Hawks, Swans and Dockers were the only teams to receive unanimous votes in this category.

One opposition captain thinks Geelong superstar Joel Selwood will win the Brownlow in 2014 with Scott Pendlebury the main choice with four and former Cat Gary Ablett and Crows star Patrick Dangerfield each getting three votes.
