Bartel takes top votes
Senior coaches award Jimmy Bartel top votes for Geelong after his performance against Essendon.
During the Cats nine-point win over the Bombers on Friday night, Jimmy Bartel received a team-high of eight votes for the AFL Coaches Association Champion of the Year Award.
Bartel, who now has a total of 36 AFLCA votes, also collected the most disposals for the Cats with a bag of 28 touches, including six marks, four in-side 50s and three tackles.
Andrew Mackie and Steven Motlop received three votes for their on ground efforts. Mackie took 26 disposals at 88.5% efficiency and eight marks, while Motlop delivered an important game, kicking two crucial goals in the last quarter and a total of 21 touches.
Joel Selwood and Steve Johnson were both awarded one vote each.
