Scott admits he’s concerned about the team’s inconsistencies in the second half, however, he’s confident these imperfections can be ironed out before the business end of the season begins.

Overall Scott is pleased with the course of the Cats, considering they’re in the middle of a transition period.

“Yeah a little bit concerned, but I’m with you, I think the direction of our team is really positive especially given the transition that we’ve embarked upon in the past three or four years,” Scott told Cats TV on Tweet the Coach.

Although Scott doesn’t like to give excuses for where the Cats are on the ladder, he says such play can’t be avoided when you’ve got an increase of younger players on the track.

“It’s probably a little bit of a cop out to say that more inexperience in the team leads to a little bit more inconsistencies, but it’s also a fact and we’re working really hard to rectify it,” Scott explained.

“The fortunate thing is our best is still pretty good and if we can smooth out those inconsistencies we’re going to be hard to beat.”
