Harry Taylor met up with Cats TV for Opposition Breakdown where he took a closer look at Gold Coast’s youngster, Jaeger O’Meara.

The 19-year old midfielder debuted this year in round one, and has gone on to play an important role in the first nine games of the season.

Despite Jaeger’s young age, Taylor believes he has the determination and talent of a future star. This Saturday night Taylor and the Cats will keep a close eye on him, making sure he doesn’t cause the level of trouble that he’s capable of.

“Jaeger O’Meara has many strengths, a couple being his ability to win the ball and play inside and outside, averaging 20.6 disposals a game this year so far in the nine games,” Taylor said.

“He is a tremendous talent and someone we’re going to have to pay a lot of attention to.”

“He is also a very dangerous goal kicker averaging one goal a game, managed to kick a couple of goals against us in a NAB Cup game last year when he was ineligible to play for the AFL, so we know first hand how dangerous he can be.”
