Geelong midfielder Daniel Menzel suffered an injury to his left knee during today's VFL game against Box Hill.

Menzel will have scans on his knee this week to ascertain the extent of the injury.

Menzel suffered a ruptured ACL to his right knee in the Cats 2011 qualifying final win over Hawthorn.

After successful surgery and rehabilitation he returned to the VFL last season but suffered a ruptured ACL in his left knee.

He had a traditional reconstruction but required LARS surgery to the knee in the summer after a setback.

Menzel returned to action in the VFL last weekend against Sandringham.

The club will provide a further update when the results if the scans are known.
