In the mix versus Swans
Which Cats could return for Saturday's epic clash with Sydney
Tom Hawkins
The Tomahawk was rested from the trip out west as he continues to battle back problems. The Cats are confident Hawkins can overcome the issues in time for finals and with the goal scoring threat he is there should be no reason he doesn’t return when right to go. Will that be this week?
Paul Chapman
Chapman completed his third game back in the VFL and is raring to go. He was pumped up by VFL coach Matthew Knights for his contested ball and clearance work after Saturday’s game and also managed to kick a goal. In the round four clash with the Swans, Chapman was one of the Cats best racking up 22 touches, five clearances and kicking two goals.
Josh Hunt
Hunt was best afield for the Cats VFL side on Saturday playing a sublime role off half back. He had 16 touches, eight rebound fifties and laid four tackles. Whilst the Cats backline is a tough place to crack, Hunt would have no problem sliding back in.
George Horlin-Smith
Another week, another great performance from Horlin-Smith. The young gun finished with a heap of contested ball and marshaled his midfielders all day. Interestingly Horlin-Smith came in for the round four clash at the SCG, did a job on Josh Kennedy and earned himself a NAB Rising Star nomination. Can he do the job again?
Taylor Hunt
Hunt was singled out by Knights for his efforts in getting the Cats over the line in the last quarter of Saturday’s game. With a wealth of Swans mids to shut down, Hunt could be primed to return to senior action.
