Cats TV caught up with Harry Taylor for Opposition Breakdown, where he spoke about Port Adelaide’s top draft pick from 2011, Chad Wingard.

According to Taylor, Wingard is hot property and will be the player to watch out for this Saturday. Despite his short career of one year, the young forward has already proven to be an ominous player.

“He’s really highly skilled, you just have to go on to You Tube to have a look at the wizardry he’s shown in his career so far, and he’s still got a long way to go,” Taylor told Cats TV.

Wingard works the ground well, especially within the goal area where he often causes damage to the opposition's scoreboard.

“He is a very dangerous player for the Port Adelaide footy club, he’s kicked 16 goals this year, two a game and has averaged 21.3 disposals,” Taylor said.

Taylor says the only way to eliminate Wingard's influence is to stick tight in front of his path and keep the pressure on.

“We need to pressure his skills as much as we can, he is so dangerous, we need to get a lot of pressure on the ball and a lot of pressure on his body to make him turn the ball over a little bit more than he has this season,” Taylor said.
