Tigers will roar
Coming from a controversial loss against Fremantle, the Tigers will be set to roar when they meet the Cats at the MCG
After a controversial clash against Fremantle in WA, the Tigers will be ready to fight back what they lost when they come head to head with the Cats at the MCG on Saturday night.
Richmond’s senior coach, Damien Hardwick described the match as a tight arm-wrestle and was furious that Richmond were hit with a one point loss, after a crucial goal went unpaid without review.
Having lost the last two games after starting the season with three wins, the Tigers will be searching for their fourth triumph against the undefeated Cats.
Despite Richmond’s skipper, Trent Cotchin, coming off the field late in the second quarter with a niggle in his knee, Hardwick was quick to say that he’ll be right to take the reins for Saturday night’s game.
“I think he hyper-extended his knee, I think it’s ok. He came back on and played, so he’ll be fine,” Hardwick said.
The young captain has had a prodigious start to the year and there's no doubt he'll play a pivotal role in next week's clash if he's fit to play, having obtained an average of 30.6 disposals in the last five games.
