Prized possession: Zaharakis
According to Harry Taylor Essendon's young midfielder, David Zaharakis, is the one to watch out for
Cats TV joined Harry Taylor for Opposition Breakdown where he spoke about Essendon’s prized possession, David Zaharakis.
The young midfielder has speed and accuracy making him one of Essendon’s most dangerous players.
“He’s a terrific player at setting up goals and scores for the Essendon footy club, he’s ranked number two for inside 50s and number three for goal assists so far,” Taylor said.
“He is also a capable ball winner, averaging 23.3 disposals a game, which is a career best for him in his time at the AFL so far.”
In order to reduce Daharakis’ influence on the ball, Taylor wants the Cats to stop him from making space and leading play towards goal.
“We need to make him accountable, make him try and defend us as much as possible to limit that ability for him to have scoreboard impact that he does so well for Essendon,” Taylor explained.
