Olivia Purcell is the Round 1 AFLW Fan MVP, presented by Viva Energy.
Purcell was a popular choice with 22% of the total votes after being one of Geelong’s better performers in their opening round loss to North Melbourne on Sunday.
The reigning best and fairest winner finished with a team-high 296 metres gained from 17 disposals.
Amy McDonald (11%) was another strong performer inside Geelong's engine room, topping the disposal tally for the Cats with 18 touches.
The 22-year-old was a consistent performer across all four quarters, with coach Paul Hood impressed with McDonald's effort.
“Amy had a terrific game, and she was one of the players that had an influence through all four quarters, so really pleased with her growth and looking forward to a great season from her,” Hood said.
Defender Millie Brown (11%) finished just a couple of votes behind McDonald in third place.
Brown stood up in a backline that was constantly under siege with nine disposals and four marks.
Midfielder Becky Webster (8%) and captain Meg McDonald (7%) rounded out the top five vote getters.
The AFLW Fan MVP is available after each week’s game and entrants go into the draw to win an amazing prize.
