Two Cats have polled in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year voting.
Captain Meg McDonald was recognised with two votes for her tireless work in defence, while defender-turned-midfielder Becky Webster likewise polled two votes after collecting the most disposals of any Cat on the field.
Webster collected 18 disposals and gained 294 metres for the Cats during the 29-point loss, while McDonald was stoic in defence, and finished with seven intercepts among her 11 disposals.
The Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year award is awarded to the NAB AFL Women’s player who receives the most votes across the regular season.
Coaches from both teams each game are asked to voted on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis to the players they feel were the best afield in the game, across both teams.
