Geelong’s AFLW team has made two changes ahead of their Round 3 clash against Western Bulldogs at GMHBA Stadium on Friday night.
It will be the first time the Bulldogs’ AFLW team has played at GMHBA Stadium and the first time since round 2, 2019 that the two side have met.
It will be a big day for Nicole Garner who has been named to make her AFLW debut.
The 28-year-old has been an emergency for both of the Cats’ opening two rounds, but finally gets her opportunity to pull on the hoops for the first time.
A former baseballer, Garner landed on the Cats' radar at a VFLW trial day in 2015 before returning home to Gippsland and later co-captaining Casey in the VFLW in 2019.
Geelong selected Garner with the 50th overall pick in the 2019 draft.
Experienced key defender Rebecca Goring has also been named to return to the side and will play her first AFLW game of the year.
Darcy Moloney and Georgia Clarke have been omitted.
Maddy Keryk will play her 25th AFLW game.
A member of Geelong's leadership group, Keryk joined the Cats in 2019 and has played 16 games with the club since crossing from the Blues.
Gates will open at GMHBA Stadium on Friday night from 6pm with the first bounce at 7.10pm.

Tickets must be purchased online via ticketmaster prior to the match. Tickets are $10 for Adults, under 18 are free.
Whilst access for Juniors (under 18) is free, all attendees must redeem a ticket in advance of the match. Any junior without a pre-purchased ticket will not be permitted access to the match.
