GEELONG has named their VFLW Leadership Group for 2021 ahead of their season opener against Collingwood on Saturday.

The Round 1 clash will be held at Deakin University Elite Sports Precinct with the first bounce at 12pm AEDT.

Michelle Fedele will lead the Cats into battle after her appointment as captain.

Fedele will be joined by Claudia Gunjaca (vice-captain), Tamara Smith and Breanna Beckley in a new-look leadership group.

Geelong is set to have a strong AFLW representation on Saturday with Rene Caris, Darcy Moloney, Olivia Barber, Laura Gardiner, Georgia Clarke, Carly Remmos and Mia Skinner all expected to lineup for the Cats.
