Amy McDonald’s stellar efforts on the field have been recognised by Cats fans again, with the midfielder voted as Round 5 AFLW Fan MVP, presented by Viva Energy.
It is the third time in five weeks that the 23-year-old – who is enjoying a breakthrough season with the Cats – has been the fans’ pick as best on ground.
She was also named the Fan MVP in Round 2 against Collingwood and Round 3 against Western Bulldogs.
Against the Richmond Tigers on Friday night, McDonald collected an equal team-high 17 disposals, had three clearances and laid a career-high seven tackles as she continues to make her mark in 2021.
McDonald polled 30 per cent of the fan votes, ahead of Meg McDonald (19 per cent), while Renee Garing and Danielle Higgins drew in third with 7 per cent of the vote apiece.
The 2021 AFLW Fan MVP is proudly presented by Viva Energy. By voting each week, fans go into the draw to win an end of season prize valued at $250.
