GEELONG has made three changes ahead of its Round 6 AFLW clash against Carlton at Ikon Park on Sunday.
It will be just the second time the two sides have played for premiership points and the first time the they've met at Ikon Park. The Cats were victorious the last time they met in 2019, recording a five-point win and will be hoping that is a lucky omen as they chase their first victory of the 2021 season.
They will have do it without reigning best and fairest Olivia Purcell who injured her knee in Geelong's Round 5 loss to Richmond. Also out for the Cats are forwards Maddie Boyd and Stephanie Williams who have both been omitted.
The Cats welcome back a trio of youngsters with Olivia Barber, Darcy Maloney and Rene Caris recalled to the team after impressing in Geelong's VFLW season opener against Collingwood.
Geelong's Round 6 encounter against Carlton will commence at 12.40pm AEDT and be televised on Fox Footy.
