The Cats' form has been up and down so far in the 2016.
But one of the big positives to come out of the early rounds is the way the team is stopping opposition sides from hitting the scoreboard.
In a season when high-scoring contests have been the norm, Chris Scott's men are yet to concede 100 points in a game.
In fact, they are conceding an average of just 68.25 points per game.
The average has been brought down by the effort against the Brisbane Lions, when the Cats conceded just 56 points, and last weekend's effort against Essendon, when the Bombers were able to score just 42 points.
As a result, Geelong has the second-best defensive record in the competition behind the Western Bulldogs.
