The VFL Cats have recorded their fourth consecutive win on Sunday afternoon, running away with a dominant 64 point victory over Frankston at GMHBA Stadium.

The win moves Geelong firmly inside the top four, ascending to third on the ladder with a healthy percentage at the conclusion of round six.

Lawson Humphries (27 disposals & 9 Marks) and Ted Clohesy (27 disposals, 8 Clearances & 1 goal) led the way for the Cats, while Shaun Mannagh and Kaelen Bradtke combined for seven goals in an impressive display.

Shaun Mannagh got the Cats rolling early in the first term, curling home a lovely snap from tight against the boundary to open proceedings.

Tanner Lewis followed suit shortly after with two quick goals, Oisin Mullin lit up the wing with a scintillating run to set up Osca Riccardi’s first major, and Kaelen Bradtke chimed in with his first of the day moments later.

The Cats withstood plenty of pressure early in the second term, conceding just one goal before wrestling back the momentum and inflicting plenty of damage on the scoreboard.

Todd White and Patrick Hughes booted back to back goals, before Bradtke slotted his second of the day to extend the Cats lead to 46 points at the main break.

Lawson Humphries was instrumental in the first half, picking up 15 possessions and plenty of intercept marks while showing plenty of dash off half back.

The Cats took no time picking up where they left off, with Darcy Edmends and Shaun Mannagh both hitting the scoreboard in the opening three minutes of the third quarter.

Shannon Neale and Ted Clohesy added two more goals halfway through the term, before Mannagh kicked his second major of the quarter and third of the contest just minutes later.

Kaelen Bradtke popped through his third goal of the game late in the term, as the Cats cruised to an unassailable 63 point lead at three quarter time.

The VFL Cats will enjoy a well earned week off, before they head to Coburg in round eight to try and snare their fifth win in a row.
