Geelong's VFLW side has kept its perfect start to the season alive with a comprehensive victory over Port Melbourne.

Cross-coder Melissa Bragg was brilliant up forward, snagging a four-goal return as the Cats smashed the Borough 7.10 (52) to 0.1 (1) at Deakin University Elite Sports Precinct on Saturday.

The Borough's only behind came after a quick break from the centre at the beginning of the fourth term, but the Cats had been defensively dominant all day.

Paige Sheppard was brilliant, with 26 disposals and nine tackles for the match, and was particularly potent at the start of the third term, where she picked up six disposals and laid five tackles in the opening seven minutes. She also had seven inside 50s and 7 clearances.

Bragg, who has played Super Netball with Collingwood, picked up a goal each quarter as she continued to show her versatility on the field. After starting the season in defence, where she was intercepting beautifully, she has also been playing ruck and up forward, and today proved to be a brilliant focal point for the Cats.

Claudia Gunjaca looked dangerous all game, and kicked a goal late in the second quarter en route to collecting 17 disposals, five marks, three clearances and two inside 50s.

Vice-captain Chloe Leonard is going from strength to strength, and had 22 disposals, seven clearances and five tackles for the afternoon, while Tamara Smith's strong season continued as she picked up 20 disposals, seven tackles and four clearances.

The Cats were more wayward in front of goal than they had been in the opening fortnight, including a couple of posters, but never lost control of the contest at Deakin University.
