Geelong has received Victorian picks 12 and 29 (national picks 24 and 56) in a deal that will see Millie Brown and pick 10 (national pick 21) head to Western Bulldogs.

Brown, who was on Geelong’s inactive list in Season 6, was Geelong’s first father-daughter selection, taken with pick 11 in the 2019 NAB AFLW draft following a strong junior career where she captained Murray Bushrangers and co-captained Vic Country.

With her maturity, courage and strong marking across halfback a feature of her game, Brown played nine games in the Cats’ AFLW team across 2020/2021, and also played three games with the Cats’ VFLW side in 2019 as an underage player.

“We thank Millie for her contribution to our club and all that she brought to our playing group on and off the field in her time with the Cats,” Geelong Head of AFLW and Pathways Brett Johnson said.

“We wish her well as she looks to resume her AFLW career at the Western Bulldogs."
