Key Points

Links Lead to Form
Geelong's attack has been up and firing the past two weeks, with increased scoring opportunities yielding encouraging results - including a club-record return of 71 against St Kilda in Round 5.

While Shelley Scott has been brilliant in her return to attack, Geelong's wins have been starting further up the field, with good linking passages into attack giving the Cats better chances to get goals on the board.

Chloe Scheer has been another beneficiary, with three scoring shots in each of the past two matches.

Brooke Plummer, who debuted in Round 5, led the Cats for inside 50s against the Western Bulldogs last week with four, while wingers Mikayla Bowen and Zali Friswell have also been right up there.

Beware the Bombers' Bounce Back
After a strong first month in the AFLW, the Bombers faced two of Season 7's top teams in consecutive matches. They challenged Collingwood well in Round 5, but will be looking to get back to playing their brand of attacking footy after a tough outing against Brisbane last week.

The Cats will need to be prepared for a response from the Bombers' strong midfield, which features stars Maddy Prespakis and Georgia Gee.

The Bombers' attack is also still ranked sixth in the league, despite lower scores the past two weeks, so the Cats' back six will need to bring their trademark pressure and class to keep the Bombers forwards quiet.
