Jed Bews has been working hard on his versatility over summer as he looks to cement his place in the Cats' line-up in 2017..

 "I've been learning different roles," the 23-tear-old told Cats Media.

Bews has been spending time in the midfield and up forward during match-simulation drills and has been enjoying the change.

"I've been learning those crafts, which has been different, but it's been good so far. It's been very interesting.

"I'm definitely still a defender first and foremost, but it's about adding more strings to my bow, I guess, and just having more options.
