Geelong Cats fans will get their first look at the Club’s newest recruits in Saturday’s AFLW match simulation against Collingwood.
The Cats will unveil Irish recruits Aishling Moloney and Anna-Rose Kennedy, as well as experienced forward/midfielder Kate Surman and returning ruck Erin Hoare.
In further exciting news, fellow ruck Sammy Gooden will also get some time on the field for her first appearance in the Hoops.
The Cats’ Season 7 other-sport rookie signing is still on the Club’s inactive list as she continues to work through her return to play program following the birth of her daughter Billie earlier this year, but will get some managed time in the match simulation as she continues to build towards being able to play out a full game.
The match simulation will consist of four 20-minute quarters, with the first half to be treated closer to a regulation practice match, while the second half has been earmarked as an opportunity for a more experimental approach from the teams.
Cats fans are encouraged to get along to Victoria Park for the VFL-AFLW match simulation double-header.
Entry is free, with the VFL Round 21 match to begin at 11.35am, and the AFLW match simulation slated for 3pm.
