Lowther on the Cats Learning Curve in 2023

The effort seems to be there but the decision making can be a little bit off. 

Our knowledge of the game at the right time and making sure we are consistent, playing the basic fundamentals of the game a little bit stronger for longer is important. 

We are still a young group as well; we are still gelling. As much as we talk about the rapid improvements we have made over the past two seasons, we are still a really inexperienced team when you look at our combinations of players. 

I am fully supportive of our group getting better over the next four or five weeks, then still with a focus into next season as well because we still need that time to develop. 

We know our game is there, we know our system works it is just about the consistency we can develop around it. 

Lowther on the Run Home

We certainly don't make a point of highlighting where we sit on the ladder from week to week. 

The outcomes look after themselves, I say that quite often around effort and consistency and we just aren't quite putting that together at the moment. 

I wouldn't be surprised if we were to jump out over the coming weeks and show our true colours. 

Where we sit at the end of the season will define our effort over the next four games. 

What we do make a point of is getting to work and improving on certain areas that need it, getting back to focusing on those things that make us better. 

Lowther on Chantel Emonson’s 50th AFLW Game

She has made a big difference to our team from the moment she arrived. 

When we found out that she was a chance to come here, we jumped at the opportunity to get an elite ball user, a smart athlete and a very professional player. 

Not only is she a great asset from a performance side, but she is also a great mentor for our entire list and particularly our younger players. 

We are very lucky to have Chantel, and to be here for her 50th is not surprising because she would be an asset for any team. 

I am wrapped she is on our side. 

Lowther on the Fremantle Challenge

Fremantle sitting at three wins, they have showed that they can play some pretty good footy as well. 

They are in a similar position in terms of their talent, clicking together so it presents a really interesting game to see who can fight it out for the longest period. 

What we do make a point of is getting to work and improving on certain areas that need it, getting back to focusing on those things that make us better. 

I think this week has been a really positive week for that.
