Geelong has named their initial 24 player squad ahead of Sunday’s Elimination Final against Essendon, with four players included on the extended interchange for this weekend.
Experienced finals campaigner Shelley Scott is among the inclusions alongside defender Melissa Bragg, and young Cats Abbey McDonald and Brooke Plummer.
Kate Darby is the only confirmed change for Geelong, after her one match suspension was upheld at the AFL tribunal on Wednesday night.
The final team will be announced at 5pm on Friday afternoon with five players to be named on the interchange, and the remaining three to be emergencies for Sunday’s clash.
The Cats will enter the game this weekend in search of their first win in AFLW finals history, hosting the Bombers at GMHBA Stadium.
Geelong finished the regular season in top form with a pair of strong wins over Richmond and Hawthorn, looking to carry that form into the start of their finals campaign this weekend.
The game will kick off at 1:05pm this Sunday from GMHBA Stadium, with tickets available through Ticketmaster.
The Cats Elimination Final will also be broadcast live on Channel Seven, Fox Footy, Kayo and the official AFL Live App.
