Two Cats will make their VFLW debuts as GEELONG takes on Melbourne Uni for the second time in the young season.

Lily Brancatisano and Sachi DeGiacomi will pull on the hoops for the first time in the competition.

Brancatisano comes to the Cats after captaining the Northern Knights in the TAC Cup in 2017. A versatile player from a basketball background, Brancatisano has performed consistently for St Joseph’s in the AFL Barwon women’s competition.

DeGiacomi was a member of the Geelong Falcons team that won the inaugural TAC Cup Youth Girls premiership earlier this month. She was leading goal kicker for the Falcons in 2018 and equal-second overall across the league.

The Cats will look tighten their grip on the top of the table after two final-quarter Kate Darby goals helped Geelong knock off Carlton last round and climb to first on the ladder.

The Cats defeated the Mugars by 39 points in round one, which will give them confidence coming into the clash.

Melbourne Uni comes into the match fresh off a 69-point defeat at the hands of the NT Thunder.

The match will be played at 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon at Melbourne University.
