Can the winning streak live on?
The highly anticipated clash this Easter Monday has everyone asking if the Cats can defeat the Hawks all over again?
Argue the Toss ended with this week’s hottest topic, the Cats opening clash against the Hawks Easter Monday at the MCG.
Lonergan can see it turning in to another hair-raising fight but is confident that the Cats can get over the line.
“I think both teams will be throwing everything bar the kitchen sink at it and it will be another ripper but the Cats will get up,” Lonergan said.
Gullan agreed with Lonergan and believes the Cats have the tools to continue their streak.
“This team here hates losing to Hawthorn, I thought before the start of the preseason they would be the most vulnerable because Steve Johnson’s not playing, James Kelly’s not playing, but their preseason form has been electric, probably the best of any club, and Hawthorn have a few issues so I think Geelong are primed again,” Gullan said.
“I think the Cats are just up and ready, and I think Hawthorn have some injury worries.”
