Tom Stewart has secured a perfect 10 coaches votes after a flawless performance during his 150th game in Adelaide on the weekend.
Stewart was dominant down back for the Cats during the 19-point win at Adelaide Oval, including grabbing an AFL record 10 intercept marks from his 28 disposals at 89% efficiency to go along with seven score involvements and 613 metres gained.
Gryan Miers was another standout for the travelling team, kicking three goals and totalling 26 possessions, and was awarded 8 votes for his work, while Tom Hawkins picked up 5 votes in his 349th AFL game after a four goal performance, and a spell in the third term that turned the match in the Cats favour.
Geelong skipper Patrick Dangerfield and Mark Blicavs were also among the votes.
The AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
