The coaches votes are in for Geelong's Week 1 clash against Melbourne, with Amy McDonald and Jackie Parry recognised for her outstanding performance on Saturday night.
McDonald received seven votes for her dominant display through the midfield, collecting a game high 28 disposals and nine clearances while also laying nine tackles.
The Cats star also amassed game highs in inside 50's (six) and contested possessions (16), while leading the Cats with 444 metres gained.
Jackie Parry was the other Geelong player to feature in the coaches votes, earning three votes for her terrific performance against the Demons.
The key forward booted two goals on Saturday night and dished off another two goal assists, amassing a total of five score involvements which was an equal game high.
One of the most impressive parts of Parry's display was her contest work, collecting 10 contested possessions and laying three tackles inside forward 50.
The AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort to an individual player in a season.
