Cats key forward Jackie Parry is set to reach a terrific milestone on Saturday, when she plays her 50th AFLW game this weekend against the Gold Coast Suns.

Now into her sixth season at the top level, Parry has been a consistent threat in the forward half and continues to be a strong leader for Geelong both on and off the field.

Parry’s AFLW career commenced with the Melbourne Demons, when she was selected with pick 54 in the 2019 National Draft.

Over the next three seasons Parry honed her craft forward of the football making 22 appearances for the Demons, showing how dominant she can be with a career high three goal haul in just her sixth game.  

In June 2022 however came the next chapter in the key forward’s career, when Parry was traded to Geelong ahead of the AFLW’s seventh season.

Parry’s first season in the Hoops brought plenty of learnings, setting her up for a breakout 2023 season.

Cementing her place as one of the Cats key goalkickers, Parry booted 16 majors across 13 games while kicking multiple goals on four different occasions.

Parry was also able to impact the scoreboard in the Finals series, kicking four goals in three games to help Geelong reach a Preliminary Final.

Now into her third season with the Cats Parry continues to add strings to her bow, leading the team in goal assists, tackles inside 50 and score involvements through the opening three weeks of the 2024 season.

Parry will play her 50th AFLW game this weekend, when the Cats head north to take on the Gold Coast Suns this Saturday afternoon.
