Cameron Ling and Meg McDonald wrapped up the Cats year on this week's episode of 'To the Final Bell.'

Reviewing Geelong's Preliminary Final

(Timestamp: 0:33 – 11:18)

Cameron Ling: "You have to look at the fact that the Cats made a Preliminary Final, they pushed a really good Brisbane Lions team all the way and had plenty of chances.

It is a positive season, it feels hard to say that when you are in that mire of devastation but it is a positive season."

Meg McDonald: "Even the past couple days around the club, the mood is profound disappointment but with a sense of optimism looking forward which I think is a hallmark of this Club.

They look for those positives, to always have the sense of what is next and what might lie ahead in the future.

No doubt was it not only a positive year, but it was a year of renewal and evolution despite being one of the most competitive teams in it."

Looking Back at the Cats First AFLW Win in 2024

(Timestamp: 17:33 – 23:50)

Meg McDonald: "It was in all honesty really good to go up and play in 27 degree weather, which certainly helped our game.

We were able to get the ball from inside to out, transitioning the ball really well.

It doesn't hurt to have someone like Aishling Moloney, she is ridiculous. I am watching her play from the other end, she was bouncing the ball and making it work. The penny drops for players all the time in your second or third year, realising what your strengths are and she was unbelievable.

Jackie Parry's 50th game and she kicked three, Shelley Scott kicked three, Becky Webster is having an unbelievable year off half back.

It was comprehensive, they didn't score until halfway through the third quarter and to nearly kick 100 points was great."

Looking Ahead to the Carji Greeves Medal

(Timestamp: 26:03 – 30:00)

Meg McDonald: "I think Max Holmes wins, Jez Cameron finishes second and Zach Guthrie third."

Cameron Ling: "Tom Stewart will be a very interesting one because he was really good early, hit a quiet patch and was then really good late.

Tyson Stengle was really consistent across the year, same with Zach Guthrie.

I am going in third place Gryan Miers. He had a top five finish last year, I think he will go okay but I also have Max Holmes to win and Cameron coming second.

Jez will be similar he got out of the blocks, hit a quiet patch and then just stormed home."
