Geelong head to the Swinburne Centre on Saturday, setting themselves for a crucial Week 7 clash against Richmond.

The Cats are looking to secure consecutive wins for the first time in the 2024 season, coming off a narrow win over Sydney last Sunday.

Saturday's challenge will not be an easy one for Geelong, with Richmond in hot form winning five of their first seven games.

Week 7 is also the AFLW's Pride Round, with the Cats to wear a specially designed guernsey on Saturday.

Last Time We Met

Geelong and Richmond last squared off in round nine of the 2023 season, with the Cats dominating proceedings and closing out an impressive 38-point win.

Inaccurate kicking kept the margin from blowing out further, but an impressive four-goal last quarter helped Geelong runaway with a comfortable victory.

Georgie Prespakis led the way amassing 27 disposals and nine clearances, Claudia Gunjaca picked off nine intercept possessions and Jackie Parry recorded an equal game high six score involvements.

Player to Watch

Becky Webster has built an incredibly strong 2024 campaign, becoming a prime mover for the Cats off half back with her run and carry.

Through the first seven games, Webster leads Geelong in disposals and inside 50 entries, while sitting second for intercept possessions.

Richmond have been notoriously hard to score against in 2024, so Webster's run and carry will be crucial off half back to break the lines and set up the Cats attacking forays.
