Bailey Smith is officially a Cat, with the Club and Western Bulldogs agreeing to a deal on Wednesday evening.
Geelong has secured Smith along with pick 45 in exchange for the Cats’ first round pick (17) and its second-round selection (38).
Geelong General Manager of Football Andrew Mackie said securing Smith was great news for the Club.
“We’re excited Bailey will be wearing the hoops from 2025 and beyond. At just 23 he is a talented player whose attributes gives us on-field flexibility and he will complement our current playing group,” Mackie said.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming Bailey into our football club and our broader Geelong community.”
Selected with Pick 7 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft, Smith has played 103 games for the Bulldogs over the past six years, kicking 44 goals.
Leading into the Telstra AFL Draft on November 20 and 21, the Club’s current picks are 45, 57, 75, 93.
