By the end of the 2024 AFLW season, there may not be many records left that Aishling Moloney does not hold after a stunning six goal haul against the Eagles on Saturday.

With one game remaining in the home and way season, Moloney sits on 21 goals for the year which is already an AFLW record for most goals in a single season.

After a quiet start to the year the Irish star has caught fire, with 19 of her goals coming in the last seven games including the six majors against the Eagles on Saturday.

Moloney said it was a great result for the team, but attention quickly turned to this week's clash with Kuwarna (Adelaide).

"For me the kicking action is one of the main things to concentrate on, but at the end of the day it is great to see the spirit in the team after the game and to see how happy they were," Moloney said.

"It has been tough year this year, results haven't gone the way we would have liked but this win puts us in a better position heading into next weekend.

"You are only as good as your last game, so we have to park that and move on to focusing on the next game and we are looking forward to that."

Moloney's six goal haul on the weekend is also the most goals by a Geelong player in a single game, across their entire AFLW history eclipsing Chloe Scheer's previous record.

One of the most impressive parts of the spearhead's performance was that she did not miss a shot, kicking six goals straight which symbolised the Cats improved accuracy in front of the big sticks, kicking nine goals from their 11 scoring shots.

Moloney said that getting into a solid kicking routine has been the key, helping the team to achieve strong results in the back half of the season.

"It was very hard, it didn't matter what end you were kicking to the wind was swirling," Moloney said.

"For me kicking at goal is just getting into the routine, then sticking to what you know and hopefully it goes between the posts.

"As Dan said we have been a bit unlucky in front of goal the last few weeks, for them to go through today was a massive plus."

The Cats are set for their final game of the home and away season, taking on Kuwarna (Adelaide) this Friday night at GMHBA Stadium. Follow the link below to secure your tickets.
