The Geelong Cats have secured an exciting acquisition for their VFL list heading into 2025, with Nathan Kreuger set to pull on the Hoops next year.
Kreuger is set to return Geelong, after the key forward commenced his AFL career at GMHBA Stadium back in 2019.
After being selected as a pre-draft selection in 2018, Kreuger spent three years with the Cats and made his AFL debut in 2021 against North Melbourne.
The 25-year-old played two AFL games for Geelong before being traded to Collingwood in 2021, playing another 13 matches at the top level across his three seasons with the Magpies.
At the end of 2024, Kreuger was delisted by Collingwood, which paved the way for him to return to Geelong, signing with the Cats’ VFL team ahead of the 2025 season
Mark Corrigan, who is set to lead the Geelong VFL program for a third-straight year, welcomed the addition of Kreuger to the list.
“We have seen it already from Kreuger, he brings incredible leadership with a great voice and great direction,” Corrigan said.
“He brings a great energy, and not to mention he is an incredibly powerful key position player that can play at both ends.
“Someone like Kreuger, at 25 years of age with six or seven years in an AFL program with experience, he will be enormous for our younger boys.”
