It has been an incredible run of sustained success spanning nearly two decades, with Geelong continually putting themselves in Premiership contention each and every year.
The Cats immediately bounced back after a disappointing 2023 season, coming within 10 points of the Grand Final in 2024.
In his second season at the club, Ollie Henry played an important role in Geelong's resurgence booting 37 goals for the year, including a sensational four-goal haul in the Preliminary Final against Brisbane.
Henry joined Summer Breakfast on RSN this week, touching on the incredible resilience of the current playing group to continually compete near the top of the ladder.
"It is a hard one to put your finger on to be honest," Henry said.
"I think it is a really good group of people first of all.
"Missing out on Finals [2023], which is a rare occasion for the club, but the reaction that our teammates and coaches had was impressive enough to put us in good stead early last year.
"The group really goes to work, it is a very good mentality here and it is a nice environment that everyone has bought in to."
2025 is shaping up to be another exciting season for Geelong with a number of exciting clashes, prime time matches and 10 games at GMHBA Stadium on the schedule.
The Cats also secured a number of fresh new recruits, with Bailey Smith and Jack Martin set to pull on the Hoops for the first time next year.
Henry discussed the impact the pair have had through the early stages of pre-season, and how he can see them influencing the team in 2025.
"Jack is a talented player, so I am sure he will be able to play a variety of roles for us," Henry said.
"I am sure Jack will find his spot to show his talents across the ground, I would be happy having him up forward though because he is quite a good player.
"Bailey has had quite a good influence early on for us, he is the hardest worker that you will see. He is very professional when he is in at the club, he gets work done and he brings a lot of boys along with him.
"It has been a really impressive start by Bailey, I am really keen to see how he can continue to influence others to better themselves."
