O'Sullivan on finding his feet in the Geelong backline

It definitely comes back to the support of the players I have got around me.

I feel like without them, it may not feel that way.

Being in such an amazingly knowledgable and experience group, especially with the backs group we do have, it allows me to feel comfortable.

I can play to my strengths knowing that they are there to support me at all times.

Obviously it came as a bit of a surprise, I am very grateful for the recognition.

From what I saw across the league, there was some really good games from a lot of young stars over the weekend.

Not just across the league but in our game as well.

Obviously I am very grateful, but I really didn't expect it to be honest.

It was really exciting to have so many of the younger guys stand up.

Not just that, but we also did see a lot from the older guys as well and they really showed what they are capable of as well.

I thought across the board our fightback in the second half was incredible.

It was a full team effort to work back, which we are really pleased with.

Like we touched on before, I think it did give me a lot of time to work with and alongside a lot of the younger guys.

It gave us a good opportunity to gel as a young core, then work through how we like to play.

It helped to develop that chemistry and like you said, it gave me an opportunity to play against some mature bodies.

VFL is a very good competition, so being able to be challenged against them definitely gave me the understanding and experience on how I would play against certain types.
