Geelong will next week celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the 2009 premiership win over St Kilda.
With many members of the side still involved at other AFL clubs in playing, coaching and administrative roles, the round six match against West Coast presented the fewest possible clashes for the team.
Players from the victorious team will complete a lap of honour pre-game with their families before watching the game in a private function.
Fans looking to watch the pre-match celebration are urged to be in their seats by 4pm.
The Cats won their second premiership in three years when they defeated the Saints by 12 points on a rainy day at the MCG. Matthew Scarlett’s toe poke to Gary Ablett would go down as one of the great Grand Final moments of all time from the game.
The game against West Coast will commence at 4.40pm with gates open from 2.40pm.
