Geelong midfielder Brandan Parfitt has agreed to a contract extension with the club that will see him committed to the Cats until the end of 2020.
Selected at pick 26 in the 2016 national draft, Parfitt debuted in round 1, 2017, receiving a NAB Rising Star nomination in his third AFL game.
The 20-year-old has played 34 games and kicked 21 goals over two seasons, including a standout performance again St Kilda in round 4 last season where he collected 28 disposals and kicked three goals.
Geelong’s General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd said the club is pleased to have Brandan remain at GMHBA Stadium until the end of 2020.
“Brandan has a team-oriented focus and brings a lot of energy and excitement to the playing group,” Lloyd said.
“A creative and an exciting playmaker, he consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a desire to take his football to an elite level.
“Over his two years at the club, Brandan has been heavily invested in our football program and where we are going as a group and we look forward to seeing that continue.”
