The new Charles Brownlow Stand continues to take shape at Simonds Stadium.
Cats chief executive Brian Cook cast his eyes over the progress on Wednesday morning and was delighted with what he saw.
"It's on time, it's on budget and it will be finished on May 19 next year - that's the deadline," Cook told Cats Media.
"We just noticing now that the building blocks are starting to appear, because they're being built off-site and then brought on.
"It's an amazing thing to see."
Given the planned finish date of May 19, 2017, the opening of the new stand is just under one year away.
"We're hoping everything will go as planned, the weather will be good to us and we can do what we need to do over the next we months," Cook said.
The Cats have already spoken to the AFL about ensuring that all their 2017 Simonds Stadium home games are fixtured after the new Brownlow Stand has opened.
"That's a challenge," Cook acknowledged.
"It will be about round eight [when the new stand opens], so we need to fit eight games in about a 14-week period."
