Mark Blicavs says he and his teammates believe they are very well prepared to take on Hawthorn on Easter Monday.
The Cats will enjoy some rest during the middle of this week after playing their last two NAB Challenge games in searing heat.
They will return to training on Friday and start gearing up to play the Hawks.
"Round one is our big focus now," Blicavs told CatsTV after the narrow loss to Fremantle in Perth on Saturday afternoon.
"We've got two weeks and all the boys will be ready, for sure."
Blicavs was a star performer against the Dockers, racking up 17 disposals and 12 tackles while going head-to-head with Freo superstar Nat Fyfe for a large period of the game.
He is now looking forward to seeing the Paddy Dangerfield-Joel Selwood combination unleashed for the first time against the Hawks.
"On paper, it's an impressive midfield, but it counts for nothing if you can't do it out on the [park]," he said.
