Jimmy Bartel
The superstar veteran sat out the game against Collingwood on Friday night, but if his interview at the Family Day is anything to go by, he will return for the clash with Essendon in Shepparton on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Lonergan
The veteran defender is in a similar boat to Bartel. He watched the loss to the Magpies from the stands but is likely to return to face the Bombers. He might even get the big job on Joe Daniher.

Josh Caddy
The tough and skilful midfieler was a late withdrawal from the team that took on Collingwood after suffering a bout of gastro. He is expected to be fine to take on the Bombers.

Michael Luxford
After an outstanding pre-season on the training track, in which he has been a brilliant performer in the running drills, Luxford was selected in the Cats' 29-man squad to face the Magpies before being a late omission. He will be very keen to make an impression if he gets the chance to play in Shepparton.

Tom Ruggles
The Cats' reigning VFL best and fairest was picked in the initial squad to face Collingwood before being a late omission. Like Luxford, he appears a good chance to get a call-up for the clash with the Bombers on Saturday.
