Young Bulldog, Liam Jones, hopes to receive some hot tips from an ex-Cat champion as he prepares himself for Saturday night's battle against the Cats.

The talented Tasmanian forward, who debuted in 2010 at the young age of 19, has kept a close eye on the Cats recent performance and looks forward to meeting them face to face for round five at Etihad stadium.

“I’ve watched all their games, they’re obviously still a power-house in the competition so it’s going to be another tough game for us this Saturday night, but I’m looking forward to the challenge,’’ Liam Jones told www.westernbulldogs.com.au

At the beginning of the year, Western Bulldogs welcomed two Cat premiership players to their coaching department, ex-forward Cameron Mooney, along with former defender Matthew Scarlett.

In the lead up to Saturday night’s clash against the Cats, the young forward expects to gain some personal advice from old Cat, Cameron Mooney, on how the dogs can best work the forward line against Geelong, in hope of dismantling their defence.

“I haven’t spoken to Moons about the Geelong backs, yet but I’m sure he’ll share all the stuff he’s got, he’s not too long out of the game so he knows a lot about all the defenders in the AFL and he gives me little secrets and little tips that he used against them, so I look forward to talking to him at the end of the week.”
