1. Round 19, 2011, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 37.11 (233) def Melbourne 7.5 (47)
The Cats almost broke every record in the book on what was an extraordinary afternoon. The home side kicked eight unanswered goals in the first quarter, and by half-time the score was 20.4 (124) to 1.4 (10). Geelong kicked another 17 goals to Melbourne's six in the second half and won by 186 points. It was the second-greatest winning margin and the fourth-highest score in the history of the VFL/AFL. Steve Johnson was among the stars. He finished with seven goals and 171 AFL Fantasy points, while Joel Selwood racked up 43 disposals.
Cats great Cameron Mooney will look back at this match in our next episode of Thirsty Camel Throwback Thursday.

2. Round 21, 2006, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 14.10 (94) drew Melbourne 14.10 (94)
The Demons led by 31 points at half-time, but the Cats then kicked six goals to two in the third quarter, narrowing the margin to nine points at the last change. The last quarter was marred by Tom Lonergan's collision with Melbourne's Brad Miller, which resulted in Lonergan being taken to hospital and later losing a kidney. But the players from both sides continued to fight for every possession, and scores were level when the final siren sounded. It was just the second draw in the more than 200 games between Geelong and Melbourne. Cameron Ling and Jimmy Bartel were the outstanding performers for the Cats in the middle of the ground, while Steve Johnson kicked four goals.

3. Elimination final, 2005, MCG:
Geelong 18.8 (116) def Melbourne 9.7 (61)
The Cats and the Demons had both finished the home and away season with a 12-10 record, so a good contest was expected. Yet Mark Thompson's young Geelong side proved far too strong for Neale Daniher's Melbourne line-up. The Cats were 37 points up at half-time, and they put the game to bed by kicking four unanswered goals in the third quarter. The final winning margin was 55 points. Gary Ablett Jnr and James Kelly both kicked three goals for Geelong, while Jimmy Bartel finished with 30 touches.
4. Round 3, 1999, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 14.13 (97) def Melbourne 12.19 (91)
The Cats were nine points down at quarter-time, but they took control of the game by kicking eight goals to one in the second term. However, the Demons rallied strongly from there. If not for some wonky goalkicking, Melbourne might have snatched a remarkable victory, but Gary Ayres' Geelong side eventually held on to win by six points. Garry Hocking was the star for the Cats, tallying 30 disposals, seven clearances and two goals. David Mensch and Steven King both booted three majors.
5. Semi-final, 1989, MCG:
Geelong 22.21 (153) def Melbourne 12.18 (90)
Malcolm Blight's free-wheeling Cats went into the game with a point to prove after copping a thrashing from Essendon in the first week of the finals. John Northey's Demons, meanwhile, went into the clash with their tails up after an elimination final win over Collingwood. A tight tussle ensued in the first three quarters, with Geelong 19 points up at the final change. But the Cats went berserk in the last quarter, booting 10 goals to four and careering to a 63-point win. Gary Ablett Snr gathered 24 disposals and booted 7.7.
