Ahead of Friday night’s clash against Carlton at Etihad Stadium, Tom Lonergan and Scott Gullan highlighted where the game will need to be won on Argue the Toss.

Both Lonergan and Gullan agreed that the Cats must set the beat and take control in the very first quarter to avoid another unraveling this Friday night, where they'll play their first game at Etihad Stadium this season.

“Our work rate has got to be really high we need to get and win it out of the middle and kick it forward and hopefully play the game in our half, because I think that is where we’re most dangerous and that will set us up for a good night,” Lonergan told Cats TV.

Despite Carlton’s rough start of six losses, Gullan believes the Blues have an assortment of talented players that could easily pose a threat in front of goal.

“Carlton are unpredictable – they’ve got good players like (Jarrad) Waite, (Jeff) Garlett, (Marc) Murphy and (Bryce) Gibbs, so they can score quickly at that (Etihad Stadium)  ground but you look at what happened in Brisbane and they can fall over quickly,” Gullan says.
