Cats TV meets with Harry Taylor for Opposition Breakdown, to find out which Swan will be a major threat to the Cats game on Friday night at the SCG.

According to Taylor, the player who never seems to slow down or lose sight of the ball, is Swan veteran, Jude Bolton. Taylor describes him as an outstanding player who always dominates the contest, making him the Swan to watch out for on Friday night's game.

“He’s a terrific contested ball player, averaging 10 contested possessions a week at the moment in the three games we’ve played,” Taylor told Cats TV.

“Just an outstanding competitor and someone who really leads from the front for the Sydney Swans.”

Another well-known strength of Bolton’s that debilitates his opposition is his ability to break away towards the forward line, where he'll finish off with a snapping goal. Last week his accuracy and pace was felt by the Roos, after adding four goals to the scorboard.

“He is also a very capable goal kicker, he’s kicked the most goals from the midfield for the Sydney Swans this season,” Taylor said.

“So a very dangerous player; very vocal on the field and someone that we have to pay a lot of attention to.”

The only way to stop Bolton in his tracks is to tighten up the belts in the backline.

“We must play him tight all over the ground, whether that be in the stoppages, or whether that be when he goes forward,” Taylor explained.

“Must lay him tight, man on man and try to negate his influence as best we can.”
