West Coast will be without star midfielder Luke Shuey and sharpshooter Mark LeCras when they line up for battle against the Cats at Simonds Stadium on Saturday night, a huge blow for the ladder leaders.

Shuey was reported for striking during their Round 3 match against St Kilda and can accept one week thanks to an early plea.

The young midfielder averages 18 disposals against the Cats.

LeCras was subbed out of the Eagles’ game against the Saints in the opening term, fracturing the same arm that kept him on the sidelines last season due to a fracture in Round 1.

The All-Australian forward had surgery on Sunday and has been ruled out for a month.

Eagles midfielder Chris Masten will also miss the clash against the Cats after receiving a cork to the hamstring early on Saturday night, which has been assessed as a mild strain and will see him sidelined for two to three weeks.

Defender Beau Waters was earlier ruled out for the season with a recurring shoulder injury and backman Shannon Hurn also remains out with a knee injury.

Scott Selwood is in doubt to come up against brother Joel, as he awaits the all clear on his ankle from the medical team.

Former Magpie Sharrod Wellingham missed last week due to general soreness but looks set to make a return against Geelong.
