In the mix for Roos clash?
Who will be in line for inclusion for the Cats big Friday night match
Jimmy Bartel
If being a three time premiership player, Brownlow and Norm Smith medalist is enough to get you straight back into the team, Bartel’s form this year is. He is averaging 22.75 disposals, 5.25 marks, 3.7 tackles and nearly 3 inside 50s and 3 rebound 50s per game.
Nathan Vardy speaks about being the lone ruck
Allen Christensen
Christensen has hopefully overcome his hamstring problems and will be a chance to line up on Friday night. He tweeted the below on Saturday.
Trent West
With Dawson Simpson going down and missing a significant part of the season to come, the opportunity for West to claim the number one ruck role is there. A near best on ground effort on the weekend in the VFL may be just what he needs to return. The Cats pulled West out of the last quarter of the VFL game with the AFL game just five days away.

Josh Walker
Whilst the Cats big man stocks were a problem for a while, they aren’t now. Ruck/forward Josh Walker was devastating on Sunday in the VFL kicking six goals in a best on ground performance. No stranger to big games, Walker has been mentioned by Scott as a potential in before the end of the season.
Mark Blicavs
The story of the year for the Cats, Mark Blicavs took his second rest of the season due to it being just his first proper season of football. What Blicavs brings to the team is the ultimate x-factor. His running ability is unmatched in the league and that combined with strong hands and serviceable ruck work should see him immediately return to the Cats line up.
Josh Hunt
Was many players slow down after 30, Josh Hunt has risen. After a slow start to the season due to injury, Hunt is back to his devastating best repelling attacks on the Cats backline and using his unmatched foot skills to hurt the opposition. If a shin injury is overcome would be hard to not include him in the side.
